This case concerns the legality of an ex parte wiretap order issued by a judge in the Circuit Court for Talbot County, pursuant to the Maryland Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Law (the Act), Maryland Code (1974, 1980 Repl. Vol.) §Â§ 10-401 through 10-412 of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article. We granted certiorari primarily to determine whether the wiretap order complied with the provisions of § 10-408 (f) of the Act and, if not, the sanction to be applied for noncompliance.
